After making really big things (murals), Jill decided to focus her attention on really small things (jewelry), and created Cheeky Monkey Designs, under which she makes and sells her jewelry. Initially, Jill concentrated on making custom photo and image transfer pieces, like the brooches she was commissioned to make for the Milwaukee Public Museum. Now, Jill’s repertoire includes metalsmithing and mixed media pieces.
As a business owner, Jill engages the professional talents of photographer Deone Jahnke and web designer Bruce Seeds to help her brand and market Cheeky Monkey Designs.
Jill is a member of the Women Business Owner’s Network, the National Polymer Clay Guild and the Milwaukee Book Arts Salon. A firm believer in the importance of surrounding yourself with creative, positive-minded folks, Jill considers herself fortunate to have found these communities.
